"IT" Returned After 27 Years and Reasons why I am calling it "SH-IT"

Ever since "IT" was announced, " IT " was the talk of the town. People were really excited to see the infamous clown return after 27 years. This adaptation of Stephen king's novel was THE thing of 2017. "It is so scary that it will make your nights sleepless" . When you hear these kinds of gossips about a movie, you start to think if you are going to need some medicine to sleep or not. But then, I saw the movie, and I AM DISAPPOINTED!! What do I think of " IT "? its "SH-IT". I had to sit in around 2 hours to that thing thinking all the while that I am wasting my time watching " IT ". Oh god I cannot even start to explain how much I hated this movie. Now before you open your divine gates of hatred towards me, let me explain why those 2 hours for me were pure agony. Why "SH-IT": The main reason why "it" is receiving such a backlash from me is that it was trying so hard to adapt to today's st...

The Hitman's Bodyguard. Another Netflix Hit?

If you want to make a movie awesome, what do you do? Make Samuel L. Jackson a hitman and Ryan Reynolds his bodyguard. Weather you are a teenager or an adult, this epic duo is gonna keep you on the edge of your seats all along the movie. Aside from being an action packed powerhouse, the movie offers a very nice dose of comedy with a pinch of romance on top. This here is a blend of comedy and action your taste buds are gonna remember for years. Plot: If you were say, a top protection agent once in life who now after a failed contract is going downhill and your only hope to get your AAA reputation back is to safely transport a hitman who has been killing people you were supposed to protect while a bloodthirsty dictator who stands trial in the international criminal court is out to kill the guy you want to protect, Things can get a bit, say, complicated. Hence the name "The Hitman's Bodyguard" . The movie has a concrete story line with very solid characters. Well done ...

Bayawatch(2017): The legacy carries on. Or does it?

Review by: Yahya Durrani Mention ‘Baywatch’ to any 90s TV shows fan and their eyes will surely lighten up. Tell them to explain Baywatch in 3 words and they most likely will be “sand, sun and bikini”. I personally am a big fan of the franchise, mostly because of its highly attractive cast. Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, Dwayne Johnson , Zac Effron, Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra to name a few. Despite the fact that it always had a somewhat weak story line, it has always been a guilty pleasure for a good chunk of people. Now coming back to the return of Baywatch. YES it was a flop. Everyone knows that. But what was the thing that made it go downhill. Was it the cast? No. Filming locations?   No. Story?   Not really. Legacy? YES! It was stepping into shoes it was never made to fill. It’s like you take a long running TV show, say F.R.I.E.N.D.S and make a remake of it just two hours long. You know right from the start that is a recipe of disaster. I mean h...

Kong : The skull island. Return of the king after 13 years.

Review by: Yahya durrani Kong: Skull Island. A bigger, better Kong? Continuing the legacy of unusually giant apes who are always considered a threat since 1933, this wannabe blockbuster showcased the biggest ape yet. The movie was announced in the mid of 2014 by legendary pictures at San Diego comic-con. The movie made a lot of talk in the town. Last time a movie of the Kong franchise was released, it was back in 2005 and it was a success (somewhat). The movie revolves around a group of discoverers who are determined to explore the unexplored island in the name of USA. So a U.S. government agent Bill Randa (portrayed by John Goodman ) along with a former SAS commando captain James Conrad (portrayed by Tom hiddleston), a group of seismologists and their military escort lead by Lieutenant Colonel Preston Packard (portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson ) go to visit the unexplored “ Skull island ” but little do they know that this island is home to an ancient giant ape who is exceeding...

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) - A unique vintage movie that makes you wonder where the good times went.

Review by: Schanza Bukhari   Based on Truman Capote’s novel, the story portrays Holly Golightly as a New York socialite on a quest of marrying a rich man, and enjoying the company of her just-moved-in upstairs neighbor, who is an aspiring writer in a relationship with a rich elderly woman. Review: The movie is widely recognised for its light romantic comedy aspect but here we shall give a more meaningful insight. Although this role has given Ms Audery Hepburn the poster image of a stylish elite fashion diva, which she portrayed majestically. When one goes into the depth of the supposedly superficial character of Holly Golightly, the girl who likes to have breakfast in front of a jewelry store, all draped in diamonds. One realizes that there is more to this city girl than just depending on her male counterparts to bathe her in money and glamour. Holly shows signs of neuroticism in various scenes, such as explaining some days to be “blues” as just times of sadness, w...
