5 sports cars you can buy in Pakistan

Living in a country like Pakistan where brutal taxation has made car prices skyrocket, owning a sports car has become a dream or at least they think so (and no i am not talking about the Honda Civic). To prove them wrong, here is the list of 5 sports cars which will do 200+ km/h without breaking a sweat.

5. Honda CR-Z:

Okay I might get a lot of bashing for this from car guys but hear me out. The reason why this car is here is not because of its engine or the body shape (Which both are not so great) but the real reason it is here is because it i really gives you a sporty feel. I have driven this car and it just so toss-able. If you are the kind of guy who would enjoy a drive on the Murree express way on a Sunday, this car will surely put a smile on your face. It has a 1.5L Petrol engine and a hybrid electric motor. Collectively, they produce around 120hp. Yes I know that isn't much but tuning the ECU will help you gain at least 20 more hp. The car is light and is fun to drive around with that 6-speed manual gearbox(The CVT is horrible). With the price range of around 16-17 lacs for mint condition.

4. Mazda RX-8:

No car list will ever be complete without mentioning a rotary engine. This rev happy monster is another great Sunday driver and it is not slow. Comes with a 1.3L rotary engine which produces roughly 220hp. and will happily rev up to 8500 RPM. The car has a bad reputation for unreliability but if it is your weekend car(Drive your Mehran for the rest of the week), you will not get in trouble that often. With a top speed of 240 km/h and a 6 speed manual, it will give you something to smile about even on the straight road. The car will do 0-100 in less than 6 seconds. Yes the fuel economy is terrible and and the maintenance cost will put a hole in your wallet but the driving experience will make you forget all of it flaws. Seriously, drive one and you will know what I am talking about. A 2003ish model will sell for around 12-14 lacs and a more recent 2011ish will sell for 24 and above.

3. Honda S2000:

The Honda S2000. That's all you need to say to any car guy and they will suddenly get excited. Coming up on number 3 is an exhilarating Go-carty kinda car which became the definition of the Vtec. The S2000 might just be the most fun car to drive here on our list. With only 2 seats, it is a very "drivers car" since is doesn't even feature climate control knobs for the passenger. It has a 2.0L engine producing a staggering 240+ hp coupled with a 6-speed manual for a car that weighs less than 1300kg. This resulted in a car that has a top speed of 270km/h. The best thing I really like about this car is the feeling when Vtec kicks in at around 4500 RPM. The best part is that it is a Honda and a very reliable vehicle. You can get an S2000 for around 20-25 lacs.

2. Nissan 350z:

The Nissan 350z is arguably the best stock sports car you can buy in Pakistan. The 350z is the younger cousin of THE GTR itself. With the 3.5L V6 monster under the hood, it produces 300+ HP from factory. Install a Twin turbo kit to that and you can achieve 600 or more HP from this monster.I personally am in love with this car. Comes with a 6 speed manual gearbox and a top speed of 250+ km/h.The 350z is available in Pakistan with prices ranging from 24-30 lacs depending on the model year.

1. Toyota Supra:

The most favorite sports car for tuners in Pakistan, The Toyota Supra is the most talked about car when it comes to crazy horsepower numbers. Equipped with the legendary 2JZ engine producing a power output of 220HP for the base and 320HP for the turbo one pushing the car to around 250 km/h limited electronically. Without the limiter, it will easily touch 280+ km/h. Although it is hard to find a stock supra, a stock one will sell for around 25+ lacs. Since people have done crazy stuff to it, a 500HP supra recently was sold for around 40 lacs in Islamabad.

To sum it up, You can have an excellent weekend vehicle for less than 30 lacs. That is cheaper than the new Honda Civic or a Toyota Prius.

I Tried The New KFC "EVERYDAY AFFORDABLE" Sub 100 burger.

In student life, Most of the times you are light pocketed. That, and the fact that you are always hungry. Hunger and empty pockets don't really cope up well. To solve that, KFC offered us their new Sub 100 the "daily affordable" burger along with a variety of other different "daily affordables". I, being an always hungry person that i am, took it upon myself to try the new thing in the town, the KFC sub 100. I was coming back from my university, and on my way home, I smelt fried chicken, and every other normal person, I decided to go for a burger because why not? After all it takes some effort to get fat. So I went inside KFC and bought myself the KFC sub 100. How was it? The first thing I noticed, was that it was a lot smaller than advertised. Of course it was. I took a bite from it and it tasted DRY!! Now before you bash me with comments like "hey its just a burger, it's supposed to be dry and you should have bought some drink along with it ya
